All approved contractors must adhere to the standard terms and conditions of the Scheme in order to remain approved. However, we may impose additional, specific conditions on any approval as necessary. This does not mean that the contractor has fallen below the ACS standard.

An approved contractor's latest assessment report will provide independent evidence of its performance. We can provide this report if the approved contractor authorises us to do so.
To maintain approval an approved contractor must re-register every year and renew approval every three years.
Displaying the ACS Accreditation Mark
Approved contractors may add the ACS accreditation mark to their stationery, vehicle livery and website. Section 16 of the Private Security Industry Act 2001 makes it an offence for a company to claim it is an approved contractor when it is not; this includes indirectly claiming to be an approved contractor by displaying the ACS accreditation mark. The penalty for committing an offence under Section 16 is a fine of up to £5,000.
