Our enforcement activity is directed by the intelligence we receive. In March 2012 we received 697 pieces of intelligence, which included:
- 421 pieces of information sent directly to us by members of the public and individuals working in the private security industry.
- 68 intelligence reports provided through our partner Crimestoppers.
- 208 pieces of information provided by the police and other law enforcement agencies.
Using this information our Intelligence team was able to identify:
- 30 high risk organisations
- 4 high risk organisations within the ACS
- 1 high risk venue
- 5 high risk individuals
All of the above were brought to the attention of our Compliance and Investigation team.
We were also able to share 67 key pieces of information and intelligence with our law enforcement partners in order to reduce crime, disorder and the fear of crime.
