Reporting Lost, Stolen or Damaged Licences

SIA licences are issued subject to certain conditions, which you must abide by. One of those conditions is that you must tell us if your licence is lost or has been stolen.

  • You should report the loss, theft or damage to us through the ‘Notify the SIA’ tab in your personal online account. If you don’t have a personal account with us, you can register for one now.
  • If your licence has been stolen you should report the theft to the police, if possible obtain a crime reference number from them. You will be asked to enter this number in your personal account.
  • If your licence has been damaged, we will ask you to return the damaged licence to us. Full instructions will when you log in to your personal account and report the theft.

We do not charge a fee for replacing a licence; however, we may review repeated requests for replacement licences.

Note: Login credentials from our old site will not work. You will need to set up a new account, with a new username and password.
