How will businesses know whether an operative is qualified?
The awarding organisation will provide us with data about the operative’s qualification, which will be visible in the operative’s personal online account. The operative will not be able to submit their application until we have received the qualification.
If the operative believes we are missing information about their qualification, the operative will need to contact the training provider.
How will businesses know when an operative’s licence is about to expire?
Businesses using our Licence Management service will receive a copy of the automatic expiry reminder that is sent to the operatives they are linked with.
All other businesses will be able to check the licensable status of operatives by creating ‘Watchlists’ in their online business account. These lists clearly show the expiry date of each operative’s licence, and should be monitored manually.
How do I set up a business account to use the Licence Assist service?
During the registration process, select our Licence Pay Only service. Once you have completed the registration process, you can then log in and use the 'Contact the SIA' form to request access to our Licence Assist service.
We will process your request and send you an email to confirm that your business account has been upgraded to include Licence Assist.
