Do you want to play a key role in regulating the private security industry?

 

If so, you can do this by becoming a Non-Executive Director of the Security Industry Authority (SIA), which provides a critical public service by regulating the private security industry to reduce criminality, raise standards and recognise quality service. Its remit covers the United Kingdom.

As a member of the Authority you will contribute to the overall strategic direction and corporate oversight of the organisation ensuring, with other members, that the Executive Team is held to account for discharging its duties effectively and to the highest possible standards.

  • Three year appointment with the possibility of re-appointment.
  • £9,160 per annum, based on an expected time commitment of 32 days attendance.
  • Home based but members will be required to attend meetings in London and regionally.

You must have board level or equivalent experience, a thorough understanding of issues arising from delivering services and business improvements within a sensitive environment, as well as an understanding of issues relating to the regulation of the private security industry or similar sector.
