Combatting Child Sexual Exploitation

Child sexual exploitation and other forms of abuse are primarily issues for the police and children's services to deal with. Even so, security operatives can still play an active role in spotting the signs of sexual abuse and exploitation.

We have produced a credit card-sized guide called Stop Child Sexual Exploitation. It describes what to look out for, gives contact details for staff to report their concerns, and has a notes page to record incident details.

The Children’s Society has published a document offering advice on this. A Toolkit for Professionals Working in the Night Time Economy identifies warning signs to watch out for and suggests actions to take if you are worried about a child or young person.

Any upcoming events relating to combatting child sexual exploitation will be promoted on this website.
