  1. Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines are able to administer finger printing for an application for a clearance from the National Bureau of Investigation (the equivalent of UK's Scotland Yard). The client will bring a copy of his passport (data page only), a photo and £18.00 in cash.
  2. When we have administered the finger printing and legalized the document, he/she could then send this to the Philippines through an authorized representative (usually family member) for them to submit the application for this clearance in the Philippines.
  3. Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines do not deal with agencies in regards to processing the application for the clearance. The clients have to personally come to us to process the documents in person.

POLAND

In the UK:

Applicants should go the Polish Consulate to apply for their criminal record checks (CRC). They must provide their passport and will be asked to complete a form - available form the Consulate. The Consulate will then forward the request to the Ministry of Justice in Poland who will reply directly to the Consulate (up to 5 weeks). The Consulate will then forward the CRC (in Polish) to the applicant with an additional note in English, stating the essential findings. There is a fee for this service. This is payable by cash, postal order, bankers or personal cheque made payable to 'The Polish Consulate'.

The issue of personal information contained within the National Crime Register costs 50 PLN, and payment is in the form of "court fee stamps", obtainable from the Head Office of the Register or from the cash-desks located within various Civil Courts.

As the Polish Consulate in London is unable to verify any document as genuine obtained in this way, applicants should send a copy of their certificate to the SIA who will verify it from source.

RUSSIAN

In the UK: Applicants should go to the Legalisation Department at the Russian Consulate in London and present their original Russian passport - or current passport if national of another country. The Consulate will initiate the search on behalf of the applicant by sending the request back to Russia who will reply in 4 - 6 months. There is a fee for this service; specific details can be found by contacting the Consulate.

On return of their CRC, applicants must have documents verified by the Consulate and translated into English - the Consulate can do both these tasks and do charge a fee. Address details for applicants:

SPAIN

If applying from within Spain:

Spanish nationals living in Spain should obtain an application form from a post office, high street newsagent or tobacconist. They should then take or post the completed application form with proof of their identity to the local office of the Spanish Ministry of Justice. There are 21 regional offices throughout Spain. The individual will be required to provide:

  • his or her full name;
  • date of birth;
  • address, and;
  • Spanish National Insurance number.

They must also provide some form of identification. This is usually a passport or national identity card, marriage certificate or birth certificate. The individual must also specify the purpose of the request, that they are applying for a 'Certificado de Antecedentes Penales'.

If applying from the UK:

A Spanish National living in the UK (who is not able to travel to Spain) can authorise a member of their family or a professional person (lawyer, doctor etc) to apply on their behalf and they should contact their nearest Spanish Consulate for advice. Details are as follows:

If applying from within the UK: You can make a request to the Consulate General in London, who will contact Turkey and undertake a criminal history check on your behalf. The Consulate will verify the information before returning an English translated document to you. There is a charge for this service, which the Consulate will advise.

You can directly apply to the General Directorate for Records of Convictions in Ankara for a criminal record certificate. You will need to have this verified by the Consulate General in London who will provide an English stamped translation. There may be a charge for this service.
