Enforcement Operations

We work closely with police, local authorities, training providers, trade associations, industry representatives and other government agencies to ensure that individuals and companies operating within the private security industry comply with the law. Enforcement operations are an important part of this work.

Operations may be led by us or they may be led by our enforcement partners with assistance from us. In either case, they will fall into one of three basic categories:

  • intelligence-led operations, which are conducted as a result of information that has been supplied to us;
  • information gathering operations, which provide valuable data that we can use to target our resources effectively;
  • random compliance checks, which allow us to test the assumptions on which our compliance strategy is based.

The table below provides an overview of the operations we led or assisted between 1 February 2019 and 30 April 2019.
